Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensures providing exceptional customer service is the top priority of every interaction.

  • Coordinates, plans and schedules training and ensures associates are completing training modules in a timely manner.

  • Escalates all issues involving non-compliance to Manager.

  • Provides feedback to Manager via feedback form (Coaching Effectiveness Tool or CET) in order to give input on annual evaluations and succession planning.

  • Participates in ongoing development conversations.

  • Coordinates associate’s assignments, distributes workload on a daily basis and follows up on tasks to ensure completion.

  • Provides continual evaluation of processes and procedures.

  • Suggests methods to improve store operations, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers.

  • Partners with Manager on implementation strategy for improvements.

  • Drives efforts of team to complete tasks as assigned by Manager.

  • Conveys messages to associates in accordance with Manager’s direction.

  • Assists manager with daily planning of operational tasks assigned to the store to include development, analysis and implementation of sales, staffing, training, scheduling and associate appreciation programs.

  • Oversees members of a team working on special or ongoing projects that are important to the department/process improvement.

  • Executes a plan to ensure associates are compliant with established sales, safety and security practices and procedures in conjunctions with local, state and federal regulations.

  • Plans and ensures proper execution of Company merchandising standards.

  • Assists with departmental zoning by providing support, guidance and overseeing the recovery process.

  • Notifies Manager of all associate relations issues as well as all issues that have the potential to impact the department and/or store.

  • Actively participates in floor walks with Regional Vice President, District Manager, Store Director and Manager.

  • Lead on Duty responsibilities, as assigned.

  • Assists Manager with allocation of payroll hours by creating associate schedules based on business needs.

  • Submits schedule to Manager for approval.

  • Completes 4473 paperwork and submits for approval to complete transaction.

  • Limited override authorization.

  • This position has no direct reports.

  • Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems; Task Manager, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Complete all related training modules for the position.
